Pleasant Valley Lodge was founded on November 17th, 1849 at Pleasant Valley,
which is now Nashville, but the Lodge has retained its original name. The first officers
of the Lodge were A.B. Clements (Master), I.S. Turrentine(SW), and R.P Thomas
(JW). The Lodge had 165 members at that time. Pleasant Valley Lodge will soon
celebrate its 160th anniversary in this town. (Nashville News article Nov 13, 1989)
