The Property

Nestled in an oak-wooded savanna in Eastern South Dakota, Pleasant Valley spans rolling hills, mature timber, and the winding path of cold-water Cobb Creek. The property is home to deer, beavers, otters, turkeys, and an abundance of birds.

The Maas family has been hosting events, gatherings, weddings, retreats, and getaways for close to 50 years. Four generations have worked and contributed to making Pleasant Valley a special place for thousands of people.

What started as a family gathering spot along Cobb Creek has grown into a beloved retreat destination in Eastern South Dakota. The oak-wooded savanna, cold-water creek, and abundant wildlife create a setting that keeps guests coming back year after year.

The Main Lodge is currently closed, but our cabins, camping spots, grounds, and trails remain open and ready for your next escape.
